The Highland Area Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to providing only the best in services to our members and the Highland community. We are proud to be the Highland area's local business resource and support center, and we are serious in our commitment to advance the economic vitality and welfare of the City of Highland. The Highland Area Chamber of Commerce is built on five core values: Creating a strong local economy; promoting the community; providing networking opportunities to our members; representing the interests of businesses in their relationship with government agencies; and providing marketing tools, resources, and education for business success. Chamber Members are at the core of the organization’s vitality. We are a group of dedicated, concerned, and entrepreneurial individuals who understand that much more can be accomplished together, in a professional team atmosphere, than on our own. The relationships built and nurtured among our members themselves create a powerful, expansive referral and support network for the Highland Area business community. Several opportunities are available to promote your business through our monthly programs, annual community events, local business directory, and monthly Business Bulletin supplement in the Highland Community News. Ribbon cuttings and grand opening ceremonies are also arranged for our members with new store-front or home-based businesses. The Highland Area Chamber of Commerce staff is available for business consultation and counseling on an as-needed basis, and the Chamber retains an updated list of local business support organizations and business education program calendars.
The Highland Chamber of Commerce is diligent in monitoring current legislation that directly affects our local business community, and we work to maintain consistent, collaborative communication with state and local lawmakers. We are a proud member of the Inland Empire Chambers Legislative Alliance (IECLA) whose mission is to advocate for a better business climate in the Inland Empire. Monthly Chamber Luncheons provide excellent opportunities for valuable networking and relationship building, as we participate in educational programs of interest to businesses and the community at large. Quarterly "Good Morning Highland" Community Information Breakfasts bring residents, businesses, developers and city staff together for important updates and dialogue on the economic development activities within the City of Highland. Our Annual Community Leadership Awards and Installation Dinner is always a special evening to remember. The Highland Chamber partners with the Highland Police Department to host the Annual “Business Supporting Education” Benefit Golf Tournament to raise money to provide curriculum enhancement grants to Highland elementary schools. Discover Highland Night provides a welcoming outdoor atmosphere for businesses and the community to come together in support and promotion of our local economy. Community pride and American spirit resound throughout our Annual Fourth of July Parade, and our Annual State of the Community Luncheon boasts an impressive and informative line-up of city and state officials who join us in sharing their goals for Highland's bright future.
